What is a BO Account?
A BO Account (Beneficiary Owner Account) is an electronic account maintained with a Depository Participant or DP (brokerage house, merchant bank, or bank acting as a DP) through which an investor holds securities in dematerialized (electronic) form.
In Bangladesh, BO Accounts are maintained under the central depository system operated by Central Depository Bangladesh Limited.
How many B.O Account a person can open?
An individual can open a maximum of two (2) BO accounts from a brokerage house. One can open by his/her name, another can be opened jointly.
What are Mandatory Requirements for opening a BO Account?
For Resident Bangladeshi:
- Filled up BO account opening form (KYC Form).
- Passport size photographs (3 copies).
- A copy of National ID card or Passport (If Passport copy given only bank certificate must be provided)
- 3 Passport size photographs for Nominee/ Power of attorney / Authorized person.
- Bank Status or Account Details/ Routing Number or MICR Cheque leaf photocopy.
- Registered Mobile Number.
- Valid Email Address
Additional requirements for special account holders For Institutions that originated in Bangladesh:
- Scan Copy of Memorandum and Articles of Associations
- Scan Copy of trade license (if any)
- Board regulations For Foreign Company/Institutions:
- Scan Copy of Memorandum and Articles of Associations
- Scan Copy of trade license (if any)
- Board resolutions
For Non-Resident Bangladeshi:
- Attested copy of Passport / Social Security Card / Resident Card etc. (If the applicant is residing in a foreign country, such attestations must be issued by the Bangladesh Embassy or High Commission).
- A fixed account with any Bangladeshi Bank.
- Employment certificate/copy of trade license/work authorization or Payslip/tax return record as evidence of the Applicant’s earning status.
- Documents of Power of Attorney (POA) who will manage the account while NRB is residing abroad such as. Passport size photograph of POA attested by applicant and signature.
How do I deposit money into my BO account?
You can deposit in your portfolio account maintained with Far East Shares & Securities Limited by Bangladesh Electronic Funds Transfer network (BEFTN); where you do not need to come to bank for cheque or cash deposit physically.
Or you can deposit the money to our following bank account. After the deposit, email us the deposit receipt at fesslctg@gmail.com

How do I withdraw fund from my BO account?
You can withdraw fund from your portfolio account maintained with Far East Shares & Securities Limited by BEFTN (without cheque). Your bank account would be credited automatically.
You can send a simple instruction email mentioning the amount you want to withdraw to the customer care (fecclctg@gmail.com).
Alternatively, you can call us at 02333318137 and one of our customer service officers will attend you and upon verification forward your fund requisition to the accounts department.
What is the minimum amount that can be invested in the stock market?
You can start by investing any amount of money in the stock market, but in case of investing in initial market or initial public offering i.e. IPO, you need to have a minimum investment of BDT 20,000 in the secondary market.
How do I buy or sell shares?
After depositing money in your BO account, you are ready to buy shares. You can also buy and sell shares Online (mobile apps) upon registration besides trading with Authorized Representative by phone or being present at our corporate office or digital booth.
How do you select the company before you invest?
Before investing your money, make sure you fully understand all material information related to the investment. Be prepared to conduct thorough research by reviewing annual reports, earnings per share (EPS), financial accounts, and other relevant disclosures of the company. At the same time, stay informed about developments within the industry, the national economy, and global events that could influence the value of your investment.
Seek guidance from your investment adviser or broker to obtain up-to-date market information regarding the securities you are considering buying or selling. Avoid making investment decisions based solely on rumors or unverified information. Always approach such claims with caution, especially when there is no logical or factual basis to support them.
